A Quilt is truly a Treasure from the Heart

LongArming

Longarming is the process of putting your quilt top, batting, and backing together.

Having your quilt longarmed gives it the beautiful, finished look all quilts need!

At this time, we offer Edge-2-Edge quilting only. Urban Elements and Ann Bright are the design websites we use for our longarming service. We can use other design sites by request. All longarming is done in a smoke-free environment. The price per square inch will depend on the intricacy of the design you choose.

Pricing Options:

Meandering: $0.15 per sqaure inch for an all over puzzle-piece-type design.

Pantograph: Prices vary from $0.17 to $0.30 per square inch depending on the design.

Thread & Needle Charge:
We use a new needle for each project. We charge a flat fee that includes a new needle and thread.

How to Prepare Your Quilt for Longarming

Before bringing or sending your quilt in, please complete all prepatory work. Every time our team has to stop to trim, square, or adjust your quilt, it costs us time. We reserve the right to add an additional fee for any quilt that requires labor outside of the longarming process.

In order for us to properly load your project on our longarm machine, make sure your batting and backing are a minimum of four inches larger than the quilt top on all four sides.

For example, a quilt that is 120 inches by 101 inches (king size bedspread with 21" drop) should have backing and batting that measure 128 inches by 109 inches. As a policy, we trim each quilt to 1 inch unless you request a different trim.
